Package: ssh Version: 1:1.2.1pre24-1 Severity: important I'm forced to have ssh2 on a machine for another project, but I myself do not use it. I use ssh (openssh), but it conflicts with openssh, so I have the dilemma of either installing the non-free ssh1, or not installing the non-free ssh2. I need ssh2 functionality for another user on another project on this machine, so I may be forced to switch to ssh-nonfree as well. The incompatability between openssh and ssh2 seems kind of gratuitous; allowing both to be installed simultaneously with only one of them getting access to port 22 for incoming connections seems reasonable. I have no problem running sshd2 on a non-standard port. -- System Information Debian Release: potato Kernel Version: Linux tiger 2.3.37 #10 SMP Thu Jan 6 14:48:52 PST 2000 i686 unknown Versions of the packages ssh depends on: ii libc6 2.1.2-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone ii libpam-modules 0.72-1 Pluggable Authentication Modules for PAM ii libpam0g 0.72-1 Pluggable Authentication Modules library ii libssl09 0.9.4-3 SSL shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6-2 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers library ii zlib1g 1.1.3-5 compression library - runtime ^^^ (Provides virtual package libz1) --- Begin /etc/ssh/ssh_config (modified conffile) Host localhost ForwardAgent yes ForwardX11 yes Host * ForwardAgent yes ForwardX11 yes --- End /etc/ssh/ssh_config
