I agree it might be worth backporting this fix, but why would you be updating libc on stable? (The only reason I can think of would be partial upgrades to bullseye, which is hardly Severity: critical yet.)
I did # apt-get upgrade -t stable got a new libc, and SSH broke. What data might be helpful? (Apart from the version numbers I had in my report already)
