Bug#720940: openssh-client: cannot bind to single IPv4 and single IPv6 address
Package: openssh-client
Version: 1:6.0p1-4
Severity: normal
Tags: ipv6
Dear Maintainer,
I cannot bind the client to one of my IPv4 and one of my IPv6 addresses.
I tried these entries in /etc/ssh/ssh_config:
1.
BindAddress 199.192.231.53,2a00:12c0:1015:100:1::2
2.
BindAddress 199.192.231.53 2a00:12c0:1015:100:1::2
BindAddress 199.192.231.53
BindAddress 2a00:12c0:1015:100:1::2
None of these worked, so I can bind the client to IPv4 or IPv6 only, not both. Bad if the host has several IPv4 and several IPv6 addresses. This means that I need to define every possible host in ~/.ssh/config and set the BindAddress parameter there.
