I can confirm that the current state of affairs is irritating. If your locale is not installed on *one* of remote systems then you have to either globally disable the "SendEnv LANG LC_*" on the local system, or globally disable the "AcceptEnv LANG LC_*" on the remote system. #369401 also discusses this same problem. Unfortunately no progress in the last ~4 years.. :-( norbi
