*shrug* This is what upstream chose to do; I think it was even in
conjunction with the OpenSC folks. I'm certainly not going to change it
now. :-)

Well, it's not as if anyone was ever using this in Debian with anything
other than unofficial builds - but I'll add a NEWS.Debian entry for the
next release. I think that's the best I can reasonably do.
