There's apparently no need to request that ssh connect to an IPv6
link-local address. Which is somewhat painful when trying to fix an
IPv6-only router that has stopped routing.

AFAIK, allowing connection to a link-local addresses is trivial. The
only thing needed is to allow specification of an interface on the
command line, the index of which will go into the sin6_scope_id member
at connect time.

Thanks,

                                        Juliusz

Sorry, this is in fact possible, using the RFC-mandated standard
notation, no less.

  $ ssh fe80::290:27ff:feac:7980%eth0

Sorry for the spurious report.
