Concerning http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=122188 Will this ever be fixed? Just bump the priority to S19 this will make it start before the default value of all other daemons, on a more-or-less standard colo box that means waiting for large tools like mailman, mysql, postfix, apache2, makedev etc. It is *really* useful to be able to get into the box before those tools run, especially when one of them break the box or take ages to boot and you want to know if the box is going to get alive or not.
