Sorry, I'm not going to re-enable POSIX threads across the board;
upstream are vehemently opposed to it and I do need upstream help from
time to time. Doing so would reopen other bugs which are equally severe.
It's possible that I may create a separate sshd-pthreads binary if there
is no alternative.

In the meantime, what's in your PAM configuration? I'd like to narrow
this down to particular modules.

Please find my pam.conf and pam.d/ inside the attached tar/gzip file.  I
hope that helps.

I did try telling sshd not to use PAM at all, but that didn't solve the
login bug.
