Bug#276455: ssh does not terminate on logout

Package: ssh
Version: 1:3.8.1p1-4

After issuing 'logout' command the connection remains active
(ESTABLISHED) and the terminal is unusable, no command on
terminal is accepted unless the process is terminated
'by hand', using, for example: 'kill -15 ssh_PID'.
This only happens, when connecting to machines with relatively
new versions of linux kernel, for example from sarge distribution.
Connections to woody -based machines is terminated properly.
When the other side is running ssh 1:3.8.1p1-8 (same as mine)
- there is a problem.
When the other side is running ssh 1:3.4p1-1.woody.3, or is
running under RedHat linux 2.4.20 #8 SMP - there is no
problem.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 2.4.24 (root@gutow) (gcc version
3.3.2 (Debian)) #1,
and libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13
