Hi.
	Your bug ("PAM session optional modules are not called if 
UsePrivilegeSeparation is off") appears to be a duplicate of #236814, 
which I have just sent a patch for.

	Actually, "not called" is not quite accurate, the PAM modules *are* 
called, but the messages are not returned to the user.  For your 
configuration (pam_motd, pam_lastlog.so, pam_mail.so) this isn't going 
to make much difference, but for others it might (eg pam_homedir).
