Using a backported version of 3.8p1-3 and a 2.4.26 kernel on woody I've
been unable to reproduce this problem. We mount our homedirectories
like this:
/home/staff01/sdier
Are you mounting through home in this manner, or does each user have an
entry in your automount map?
