If you have this problem you must change permissions to tty
root@dom:/dev# ls -l /dev/tty
crw-rw----    1 root     tty        5,   0 Apr 25 22:56 /dev/tty
to
crw-rw-rw-    1 root     tty        5,   0 kwi 25 22:34 /dev/tty

Thats all.
