Hi all, This problem (as with #245714 and #245737) is due to a bug in the latest makedev, 2.3.1-67. http://bugs.debian.org/245735 Downgrade to makedev_2.3.1-66 and put a hold on it, or fiddle with your system and ``chmod 666 /dev/tty''. Kirk
