Bug#243012: "Disconnecting: Bad packet length" error after several hours
Package: ssh
Version: 1:3.8p1-3
Severity: important
I have no problem starting ssh connections, but after some time
(several hours), ssh closes the connection with an error like:
Disconnecting: Bad packet length 4138966086.
Well, this seems to occur only in sessions where a program is sending
data to the terminal ("screen" in my case). No problem with sessions
having a shell that waits for a command.
This is really annoying as I can no longer rely on ssh to connect to
a remote machine and start a program there to perform computations.
