Not just Debian, Linux in general. A lot of things would definitely improve if all the
SPARC patches in Oracle's UEK kernel could be upstreamed.

Both KDE and GNOME are heavy on Javascript which is still a problem on sparc64. Unless
Javascript is properly fixed on sparc64, you will keep seeing this problem.

You aren't. If you want to use KDE or GNOME on sparc64, someone needs to fix Javascript.
