Yeah, lastes working boot.img is from Wheezy.
I had this error on my e250 about 10 years ago when I had debian installed on it. The only way I could boot succesfully next time, is to power off machine completely via alom (or whatever e250 had for remote access, can't remember), and after power on it could load/boot to silo.
