Ext4 stable yet?
I was under the impression that ext4 was supposed to be stable
for a while now, but I'm a bit conservative when it comes to
filesystems, so I've been using trusty old ext3 until recently.
Anyway, yesterday I created my second ext4 fs (first one on sparc
for me), and today, I had to restart the computer from SC. The
computer in question is a V240, running squeeze, although I see
now I had upgraded to a sid kernel:
linux-image-2.6.38-1-sparc64-smp
Anyway, here's the console history I got from sc. I'll continue
copying files to ext4 and see if it crashes again, but I was just
wondering how much testing ext4 got on sparc. Am I the first to
try it?
