Re: Apt has bad signatures.
It looks like option 1 of dselect has replaced apt-setup.
I used this to create a sources file, using the default US repos.
I still get authentication errors.
Something is not right.
Chris.

Andrew,
I got more error messages than the original file. When I completed the apt-get update, I was warned that apt was about to be removed, so I said _no_. I think I need to set-up a good /etc/apt/sources.list. Did something replace apt-setup?
Thanks,
chris.

UK sources. I upgraded from sarge, so edited it by hand. The main bits look like this:
deb
http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib
deb
http://ftp.uk.debian.org/ etch main
deb-src http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ etch main
apt-get upfate seems to dislike: deb
http://ftp.uk.debian.org/ etch main
Does this help?
I tried to run apt-setup, but this seems to have gone in Etch.
Cheers,
Chris.
