Kernel update problems

Hello,

I've mostly just been lurking on this mailing list, as there's generally
not much I can add to the discussion. I have a question now, though.

I've been running testing on a Sun Ultra 5. Recently, I've had no luck
upgrading the kernel to the newest one in the Debian database. I think it's
having problems with my keyboard for some reason. Here is the errors
apt-get upgrade gives me:

This seems to be the keyboard that it is having problems with:

I just have a Sun type 5c serial keyboard and mouse.

Since I'm currently using 2.6.18-3-sparc64, this isn't a major update. As
such, I guess it's not a major issue, but I can see it becoming an
annoyance as the kernel on that machine becomes increasingly outdated in
comparison to the one in testing. I would have thought though that it
should not be much of a change, but it's clearly choking on something.

Could anyone suggest what the problem is, and maybe what I could do to fix
it?

thanks,

gavin,
