Re: Fans at full speed on blade 1000 with kernel 2.6



Thanks to Ferris McCormick now I know that the kernel module for
controlling this on the Blade 1000 is the bbc.ko module.
The bbc.ko module from the etch didtribution has a missing symbol
(execve).
I borrowed the kernel image package pointed out in the debian + blade
1000 howto from Sebastien Lange and then the fans are now under control.
Ferris McCormick pointed out that some old kernels have problem with
this module and cpu load.
In my case with this kernel I there is no cpu usage increase.
