Nice to hear that this problems is solved. I don't really know what
went wrong there, but there is one important test you could do. In 2.6.17
the qlogicfc module has been removed, and its functionality is supposed
to be provided by qla2xxx. Current daily images found at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer
have 2.6.17 and no qlogicfc. It would be great if you could try an install
using one of the daily builds, and report your experiences.
