The usual way to build out-of-tree modules is to use module-assistant
(m-a). The following should work:

# apt-get install module-assistant linux-headers-$(uname -r) alsa-source
# m-a build alsa

This will produce a deb package in /usr/src, something like

/usr/src/alsa-modules-2.6.18-3-686_1.0.13-2+2.6.18-6_sparc.deb

It should contain all the ALSA modules for your currently running
kernel. You can just install it using 'dpkg -i'. After that run
alsaconf, and you should be all set.

Best regards,
