RE: SunFire v240 & Debian - Getting Closer

Thanks for your help.  I am aware that the messages shown are benign, just
spitting out the last few messages that come across the console before the
system becomes inoperable.  

I did install testing, and the kernel image being utilized is already
2.6.15.  

Any ideas how to debug a problem like this, what additional information to
collect/provide.  After "Switching root ..." what should be happening next?

As was already said in reply to your installation report, this message is 
totally harmless as are the other messages you show.

The only message that provides any information is "Switching root ." as 
that shows at what stage of the boot process it is. However, without an 
actual error there is not much help to be given...

What kernel was installed and thus is now booted?
If you installed testing, that was probably 2.6.12. In that case it would 
make sense to try again as 2.6.15 has very recently migrated to testing.
