I just tried installing Debian from the latest ISO images and got this
nasty kernel error. Does anyone know how to get around it? TIA.
It might be useful if you oculd post the URL / source of the ISO you
used.
It would, wouldn't it :) I meant to mention that it was the RC2 images, but
forgot. My bad.

Have you tried the current ones? Current seems to point to 20050321
ATM. While RC2 is dated 23/11/04:

etc.
There have been a number of fixes recently and that's probably the best
image to try.
