On my system (Debian Stable) /lib/64 is a symlink to '../lib64'.  Having
a look through the info packages it now seems to be owned by
"libc6-sparc64" but before the update I think it was owned by several
packages (I think gcc-3.0 libc6-sparc64 and libc6-sparc-64-dev).

Forcing the install of the new packages seemed to fix the error messages
and nothing else evil has happened so far ... :-)
