My experience is, that the mentioned "Kernel panic" always happens, whenthe solaris kernel has been running before. So I have to press theSTOP-A combination as soon as possible after _switching on_ the SPARC.Respecting this, it always worked for me. Just a reset via OpenBootwasn't enough.
