What are those 13 CD for??

It doesn't work with the stock CDs.  There is a specially-built one --
see <URL:http://wiki.debian.net/?SparcInstallationNotes> -- but it's
easiest to do a net boot if you can set up a rarp and tftp server.

You can also install from the Woody CD and upgrade from that.
