solution: use a tftp image with a 2.6 kernel that has support for the
tg3 network card. then (since the keyboard doesnt work) use the serial
port and do a console install.

current problem though is that i cant seem to get X going.

the video card is a sun svr-600.

does anyone have a working X environment using this card?
