Sun Fire V100: failure (with comments)

Hi,
last week I had the opportunity to do a quick test of d-i on a few sparc
and powerpc machines at my former workplace.
Here is how it went on a Sun Fire V100
Sun Fire V100 (UltraSPARC-IIe 548MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 4.0, 256 MB memory installed, Serial #56405439.
Ethernet address 0:3:ba:5c:ad:bf, Host ID: 835cadbf.
All testing done with daily 20040819 netinst.
First try: installer died quietly between selecting language and
country.
Second try I din't make it into the installer: boot died with the too
well-known 'sh-2021: reiserfs_read_super: can not find reiserfs on
ramdisk(1,0)'. I don't get that. I though we were past this issue?
Third try made me belive I would make it, but no: died at 'Preparing to
install the Debian base system... -> Validating
debootstrap.invalid_dists_sarge_Release.'
Not sure when I will be able to test on the V100 again.
I can provide full logs from minicom, if needed.
