No X11 on 2.4.28 / U60 SMP / Debian Sarge
Dear Listmembers,
I can confirm:
- 2.4.26: X11 works ok
- 2.4.27: X11 works ok / same configuration / (nearly) same .config - file
- 2.4.28: no X11 / same configuration / (nearly) same .config - file
U60 SMP
Elite 3D
SCSI-Hdd
Adaptec 29160 Controller
Internal network card eth0
Tigon TG3 as secondary adapter
Promise Ultra IDE-Controller
The Elite - firmware gets downloaded to the device (tested). This cause (as risen by Jörg Friedrich) is out of scope, here.
So, the gurus are in charge now. I am willing to supply any information beyond the scope of what I have provided last week. Please let me know. Something must have changed with 2.4.28 that makes X11 fail.
