alloc_pages

Dear listmembers,
is there any nice guy in the linux-land that can tell me what does this message mean:

Nov 5 08:29:11 oekalux08 kernel: __alloc_pages: 1-order allocation failed (gfp=0x20/0)
Nov 5 08:29:11 oekalux08 kernel: __alloc_pages: 2-order allocation failed (gfp=0x20/0)
Nov 5 08:29:12 oekalux08 kernel: __alloc_pages: 2-order allocation failed (gfp=0x20/0)
Nov 5 08:29:12 oekalux08 kernel: __alloc_pages: 1-order allocation failed (gfp=0x20/0)

I tried to google about this, but I did not really understand whether this may point to something serious or not.

I see this happen (sometimes very often one after the other one) on my U60 running 2.4.26-SMP. The kernel has been built on recent sarge (October state).
Thanks for any input!
Take care

Dieter Jurzitza
