i got a similar error, when installing sarge via sarge-sparc-netinst.iso
dated 2004-09-23 on a sun ultra5 360.
the machine boots from the cd and i'm able to set language and
keyboard-layout - but then the installer loops because it can not
detect/mount the cdrom.
I'm using the standard ide cdrom-drive originally shipped with the ultra
5. it is connected to the secound ide-channel and the harddisk is
connected as primary master.
when looking at syslog several errors from hw-detect are shown:

woody can be booted and installed correctly, the cdrom-drive is okay and
the image has correct md5sums - may it be a bug inside sarge-installer
or simply a buggy iso-image?
any hints are very welcome!
Thanks,
Achim
