The boot sequence call of hwclock fails on ultras (at least my 5's and 1) as several people have complained here. I thought this was a problem with hwclock using the wrong device and made a bug report long ago but, from what I've noticed recently, it seems it's due to the rtc module not being loaded. My sparcstation 5 doesn't have this problem with a similar 2.4 kernel. I'm not clear what's at fault. Can someone knowledgeable say what to make a bug report against?
