Install on SPARC 10

I have a Sun SPARC 10 that I am trying to install Debian on. It was running
Solaris 8. I downloaded the .iso image and executed boot cdrom and it starts
the install. It goes to the install screen and asks me to select a SCSI,
IDE, or Other installation. It starts loading the kernel and then I get:

sr0: CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST
cdrom: open failed
VFS: Cannot open root device 0b:00
Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 0b:00
Press L1-A to return to the boot prom

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
