Brief version: Where do I look if I want to remove the battery to reset the
ROM on a SPARC5?
Details:
I tried the ON button just in case but no love (thanks anyway Chris). It
was also suggested that I remove the battery on the motherboard for a minute
or so to reset the rom. This sounds like a good idea to me but I'm not sure
how to do that. I've opened up the case and the only thing I can find that
might be the battery is a black, square block in a little mount on the
motherboard. It's covered with (difficult to remove) stickers so I can't see
what's printed on it. In any case, it's really well stuck in there so unless
I'm sure this is it, I might better not pull any harder.
With the case open, I can see that when I turn the power on, the fan on
the motherboard spins and the harddrive spins up and makes a little seeking
noise.
I found this info in a FAQ and it suggests maybe the NVRAM chip needs
replacing... any thoughts?

Humour me...
You have tried to press the 'ON' button on the keyboard?
My Sparc5 will turn on and the fans will kick in but the lights will not
come on (or boot) until I hit the power button on the keyboard.
