Re: USB PCI card on an Ultra10

Hello,

just for info, I will answer to my previous message :

> I want to put an USB PCI card in my Ultra 10 for connecting a USB-only printer.
> After some informations I have received, I have buy a OHCI and EHCI compatible
> PCI card from Belkin. This is a USB 2.0 card.

The Belkin USB 2.0 card was not seen by the computer, so I have changed it to a
Billionton USB 2.0 all all is OK now. (tested only in 1.1 mode at this time).

And I can answer :

> So, the question are:
> - can I put an USB card in an Ultra10 ?

Yes. :-)

> - which cards are compatible (or tested on it) ?

Don't be sure for now, but seems the Billionton USB 2.0 is working, and the
Belkin USB 2.0 not. Note this is only in 1.1 mode, loading the 2.0 module cause
problem (but it's not important for me now).

> - how can I check is the card is see by the system ?

/usr/sbin/prtconf is your friend. The Belkin wasn't seen, the Billionton yes.

Now, I can try my printer. :-)

Good day.
