Filters are a pain in the butt to keep up with and spammers are always
finding ways around them.

It would be nice if only subscribed addresses could post to the list.
This is a relatively niche-specific list, so I don't think we would be
shutting out any newcomers or putting anyone out.  Spamming subscribers
could then be booted.  It shouldn't affect the archive, so the rest of
the world can still search these threads for bits of wisdom.
