2.4.18, ext3, silo...

I've a SS20, potato with bunk package, kernel 2.4.18, fs (particulary /
filesystem) converted to ext3.

Some day ago i've had a power loss, then the sparc doesn't boot.
Says ``too many simlink'' loading silo.conf, or also loading directly
kernel image.

I've boot with woody rescue disk, do a e2fsck in / and then system
start normally.

I think silo was not compatible with a (dirty) ext3 FS, i ask if this
is known and affects also woody.
