Re: Gnome big toe icon

I removed ice-wm, ice-wm gnome, and ice-wm prefs. I start up in default into Blackbox. I click on gnome-control-center and it gives me the window but no cool big toe taskbar at the bottom. I tried this in Enlightenment as well, still no go. Any ideas?

When I look at some people's machines (Intel based), I see they have

Sparc? It looks cool. All I'm getting now is the typical icewm
 start menu, etc.

It sounds like you want the gnome control-center. Look for a package of
that name. It's more like the windows-taskbar than a file-manager though.

It might take some tweaking to get to work since you're using IceWM with
it's own variant of a control-center (you may want to take a look at
another wm btw, IceWM seems to be abandoned by the upstream-developers and
gnome2 support is not amongst its features IIRC)
