nmap 2.54BETA30 bus errors

On a Blade 100 and a Sparc 10 running debian - bus errors.
nmap 2.53 from a RedHat rpm works fine on a RedHat 6.2 sparc system...

tethys:~# nmap -V

nmap V. 2.54BETA30
tethys:~# nmap -v 192.86.7.81

Starting nmap V. 2.54BETA30 ( www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
No tcp, udp, or ICMP scantype specified, assuming vanilla tcp connect()
scan. Use -sP if you really don't want to portscan (and just want to see
what hosts are up).
Bus error
tethys:~# nmap -sS -O 192.86.7.34/32

Starting nmap V. 2.54BETA30 ( www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
Note: Host seems down. If it is really up, but blocking our ping probes,
try -P0
Nmap run completed -- 1 IP address (0 hosts up) scanned in 30 seconds
tethys:~# nmap -sS -O 192.86.7.81/32

Starting nmap V. 2.54BETA30 ( www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
Bus error
