automount on 2.4.X ?

Hi all,

Anybody out there using 2.4.x and automount successfully ?

For some reason it doesn't work here on an SS5 and
the latest kernel from vger.
Tried both autofs and autofs4 to no avail...

It works with 2.2.x...
Manual mounts also work..
(and autofs with 2.4.x on x86 works...)

The syslog messages are:

Mar 23 17:46:26 js05 automount[198]: starting automounter version 3.1.7, path =
 /h, maptype = file, mapname = /etc/auto.home

Any clue ?

Many TIA,
