you will need to install using the debian woody distro.  potato will
*not* work on the blade 100

and right now, the installer is broken for woody as well.  what you
really want is an older (early summer) tftpboot.img to boot off of that
and go from there.  that is how I have been installing on my blades. 
the other option is to install woody on some other sparc that works (a
ultrasparc 1, 2, 5 or 10 should be fine) and then copy the disk over to
the blade...

I can email you copy of the old tftpboot.img because I don't think it is
accessible on the Debian ftp site anymore.

this is a big mess right now and until Ben gets his new sparc64 woody
images out, you will need lots of workarounds. once that disk goes out,
it should be way easier to install woody.
