Re: Sparc Install Failure



Using the rescue floppy and

linux root=/dev/sda4 did allow me to complete installation.

However silo is still failing to write the boot block.

silo -v

returns

IEEE  1275

and
/etc/silo.conf
contains

partition=1
root=/dev/sda4
timeout=100
image=1/vmlinuz
label=linux
read-only

Booting from the hardisk SILO appears okay but then
an error occurs saying
/vmlinuz could not be found.
