2.4.2 kernel on sparc32 won't load?

I managed to build a 2.4.2 kernel for sparc32 with both xfs and
reiserfs support, but I can't get silo to load it.  I even
downloaded the source for silo-1.2 and that didn't help.  The output
of silo is
