Ok, I will build future kernels on the diskless clients then.

I will test netbooting the a.out kernels next week. I had set up all
the other stuff (arp, rarp, tftp, dhcp, nfs root directory) already.
The vmlinuz kernel was loaded by the client machine, but the prom then
complained that it was not a kernel. So I hope just converting it to
a.out format will help.

BTW, is there a canonical place in the docs where I could have learned
about converting to a.out? I have read all the relevant HOWTOs about
netbooting and diskless (which are quite x86-centric of course), the
Sparc Installation guide etc., but nowhere seen this mentioned. Have
I overlooked something?

many thanks to you guys for now, will summarize if I'm succesful, ask
more otherwise.

Nils
