hmm, i think i'll try test12-pre3 then. I'll let you know if it works in a
couple of hours ...

well, actually what happens is:

SILO boot:
bootmem_init: Scan sp_banks,  init_bootmem(spfn[1bd],bpfn[1bd],mlpfn[fef])
free_bootmem: base[0] size[fae000]
free_bootmem: base[fb5000] size[3a000]
reserve_bootmem: base[0] size[1bd000]
reserve_bootmem: base[1bd000] size[200]
Booting Linux...
mem_init: Calling free_all_bootmem()
Program Terminated
   
i really don't have a clue what happens here (or, what doesn't happen...)
Ah well, maybe this is one of the few things that are broken for sun4c...
