Well, that depends whats installed, or whats not installed.
I used dpkg not apt-get.
(I don't really remember if it said unresolved dependancies or not.)
But dselect handled that fine. Your packages was not configured.
Dselect brought in the missing ones and the configured all.
So I see it more like that your DIRECTORY was not apt-get ready.
