latest update from woody
Hi,
Has anyone been living "on the edge" with the
latest update from woody?
I did an update a couple of nights ago and had
problem with the linker. For example:
HOST: ~ >> ldd /usr/lib/R/bin/R.bin
libreadline.so.4 => /lib/libreadline.so.4 (0x5002d000)
libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x50069000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x50088000)
libncurses.so.5 => /lib/libncurses.so.5 (0x5009c000)
libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x500f6000)
libf77blas.so.2 => not found
libcblas.so.2 => not found
libatlas.so.2 => not found
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x50137000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x50000000)
but
HOST: ~ >> ls -al /lib/libf77blas.so.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Nov 6 23:18 /lib/libf77blas.so.2 -> /usr/lib/libf77blas.so.2
c500461-a: ~ >> ls -al /usr/lib/libf77blas.so.2*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Oct 16 22:47 /usr/lib/libf77blas.so.2 -> libf77blas.so.2.3
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 113016 Jun 30 05:52 /usr/lib/libf77blas.so.2.3
and so is the other 2 libs. In fact I had
difficulties starting my X server---also about
some missing libraries (for xauth) when in fact
they are around. I had to reinstall
xserver-common_3.3.6-10.deb
before the problem went away. I think I saw
newer X server (4.0.1 related) stuff at the debian
site and so wonder if anyone has tried them yet.
Oh, I have a sparc 4 (110mhz).
