lprng incompat ?

Hello all,

This is prolly not sparc specific, but I currently cannot test this with i386.

Are there any known incompatibilities between Debian's lprng 
and the lpr-package used by redhat ?

I ask this because whenever I print to a remote ps-printer from my sparc
I receive 3 emails from the remote daemon (bin@rphost). 
Specifically the mails read:

	     Your printer job ((stdin)) 
	     was not printed because the daemon could not stat the file

However, the printouts come just fine!
The lpr client on my side reports no errors whatsoever, the daemon on
the RH(i386) box just barfs about some NOSTAT error and that it sent an email.

Any clues on this ?
