Edit /etc/inittab, and edit the line near the bottom that looks like:

T0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 9600 vt100

Change it to:

T1:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS1 9600 vt100

and run:

% init q
